The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday applauded quick efforts by staff at County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center to ease emergency room crowding after state inspectors threatened to cite the hospital last week for dangerous conditions that could put patients in jeopardy. But the good news, though, was chased with concern about the ongoing problem of countywide patient overload due to the closure of several hospitals in over the past decade.
