In its early years, the all-male membership of the Redondo Beach Elks Lodge held court inside a brick building that sat in the shadow of the famed Hotel Redondo.
The two-story Victorian structure served as a railway station for hotel visitors before the lodge purchased it in 1920 for use as a clubhouse.
