Redondo Beach. Faced with declining revenues and an additional loss of $3.4 million in the aftermath of the state's budget passage, the Redondo Beach City Council is expected to approve a resolution proposed by City Manager Bill Workman declaring a fiscal emergency.

The city faced a $5.5 million operating deficit last fiscal year. The council will also discuss raising the cost of permits for parking in Riviera Village to $100 a year and raising meter rates to $1 per hour on Pearl Street and South Catalina Avenue.
