I'll go along with the religious folks on this one. If we are indeed the creations of God, or someone claiming to be God, then recent scientific findings out of New York University and UCLA may indicate that God made us conservative or liberal in the same way that he created asses and elephants.

I wish that I was making this up, mainly because making this up would also mean that God made me brilliantly funny at the same time that he was making me a namby-pamby liberal.
