Summary
Newly nominated LAPD Chief Charlie Beck was reportedly former Chief William Bratton's hand-picked successor. One can only assume he was chosen because Bratton felt Beck was the man best able to continue the department's transformation.
We hope that's the case, and that Beck can fulfill Bratton's and our expectations. Bratton wasn't the most personable man, but he was one of the most effective department heads in Los Angeles' recent history.
