County leaders Tuesday approved stricter requirements for senior caretakers as part of a sweeping plan to combat fraud in the state's growing supportive service program.
County workers who receive government pay for doing nonmedical chores for the disabled elderly will now be required to undergo background checks and fingerprinting and will be subject to unannounced home visits. Workers will also be required to submit and verify identity documents and complete other paperwork.See the full content of this document
